USING BODY-DEFINED FORM IN URBAN FURNITURE DESIGN 1/7
INTRODUCTION
This project involved material experiments, tests and prototype fabrication, toward the design of a new line of urban furniture, URBAN CUSHIONS. It is the result of a collaboration between artists and industry, supported by Disonancias Art for Innovation. With the industrial manufacturer, Alfa Industries, in Eibar Spain, industrial processes and materials were investigated to find ways of integrating impressions made by human bodies into public furniture.
